At Roots4Change Cooperative, we strongly believe in the power of people coming together to support one of the most transformative periods on people’s lives: pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Driven by a shared dream more than 10 years ago, seven Latina/Indigenous women came together to foster spaces of healing and self-discovery to explore the cultural, social, and biological nuances of being a woman and becoming a mother. Inspired by our own Indigenous/mestiza/Latina heritage, we took the most direct path to change: becoming community doulas and nurturing our community from within.
Our work has become resilient, as many odds are piled against our embodied realities. Our strength is found every time we witness the power of hope, creativity, and self-advocacy.

Now, R4C is planting another dream: igniting the power of community through Networks of Change. Networks of Change will allow us to build a web of support to enhance the role of Latina community-based doulas who support other Latina women, babies, and their families across Wisconsin.
Roots4Change's 1 to 1,000 fundraiser is all about spreading the word and growing our impact, person by person. It's simple to get involved, and you have two ways to contribute:
Start your own network and share your passion for Roots4Change's work with your friends, family, and colleagues in your social circles. Invite others to join: Encourage people within your network to donate. Watch your impact grow: Anyone in your network can then create their own network, expanding our reach even further!
You can easily support Roots4Change by donating to one of the networks already established by someone you know. Each network acts like a "constellation of stars," with every donation helping to plant seeds of change in workplaces, communities, churches, businesses, and neighborhoods.
